Pricing Coordinator

Our client is located in the West Midlands and they are looking for someone for their pricing department.

Monday - Friday 9am-530pm

Salary £30-34k

Duties Include:

• As a team we regularly monitor the sales mailbox throughout the day - Emails will require filing/actioning or categorising accordingly. This is a team effort.
• Take charge of quote requests from our US customer base.
• You will be required to continually develop your knowledge and relationships with our carriers in the UK & USA.
• Research and action routing requirements - This will involve looking at our customer’s requirements, carrier’s services, rates & margins.
• Research and action customer quote requests.
• Build quotes within our freight software or on an excel worksheet.
• As a team we consistently monitor current rates/bookings to ensure every booking has a valid quote.
• Provide sell rates to our operations team for road freight shipments and all ad hoc charges.
• Load carrier rates onto relevant excel documents.
• Monitor market trends and take action to always secure the best rates.
• Research and provide quotes to our overseas agents.
• Assist customers & our operations team with finding workable solutions in any given situation.
• Quote follow up and feedback.
• Document all quotes & NRAs in a central location.
• Negotiating with carriers within the UK & USA.
• Approving purchase invoices & querying where necessary.
• Building/logging door to door rates from service contracts into our buy rate sheets.
• Close/clear communications with your team/our operations team & the operations manager.
