Automated Test Engineer | Up to £80k | Fully Remote | FinTech Scale-Up

We are looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join a growing FinTech company that is expanding its engineering team to build a cloud-native payments platform. This is a fully remote role, offering the opportunity to take ownership of the testing function within a small, agile squad (under 10 people).

Role Overview

In this role, you will be the sole test lead in your squad, responsible for designing and implementing automated test frameworks to support a microservices-based architecture in Azure. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks using .Net Core and C#.
• Define and implement the test automation strategy for your squad.
• Support the transition to a microservices-based architecture.
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software quality.

Key Requirements

• Previous experience as the sole test lead in a small engineering squad.
• Strong background in automated testing within .Net Core and Azure environments.
• Experience with microservices architecture and testing distributed systems.
• Proficiency in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
